Anatomical Institute, Graz, Austria - July 8 - 12, 2003
The Graz meeting site - with all forms and information, is located at www.clinanat03.at Visit it for ALL the information you will need to plan your Graz 2003 trip!
The Anatomical Institute, Graz, Austria has invited the AACA and BACA to join the European Association of Clinical Anatomists in Graz in 2003. In addition, Andreas Weiglein (Chair of the Local Organizing Committee) has also arranged for the Anatomical Society of Australia and New Zealand (ASANZ) and the Anatomical Society of South Africa (ASSA) to encourage their members to attend.
The meeting will be held at the Insitute of Anatomy, Karl Franzens University Graz ( http://www.kfunigraz.ac.at/E/homepage.html ). The Institute itself has a web site: http://www.kfunigraz.ac.at/anawww/ The Graz Tourist Office ( http://www.graztourism.at/ ) will be responsible for accomodations which are numerous and range from very reasonable to five star (also moderately priced when converted to U.S. currency). The Office of Tourism in Graz also has some good information available for advance planning. The Postgraduate Course will be centered around ``Common Invasive Procedures" as performed in cadavers embalmed with the ``Graz method".
A special web site has been established for the 2003 Graz meeting by the University that provides all the necessary information for the meeting as well as several links to important web pages required to plan your stay for the meeting. Invitations to catered dinner receptions from the Mayor of Graz and the Governor of Styria have been extrended to meeting registrants and their accompanying persons!
Graz is located in Styria county of Austria. Although a quarter of a million people inhabit Graz (the second largest city in Austria) it is still homey, picturesque, green and fairly provincial. The city has 3 universities and a lively bar scene. It's history dates back some 900 years as the residence of the Habsburg monarchy. The Old Town is one of the best-preserved in Central Europe.

The Accompany Person's Program promises to be memorable. Graz is close to eight wine routes in Styria. The vines flourish with the blue Wildbacher grapes - those of the onion-colored Schilcher. To the west of Graz is the pride of the Spanish Riding School, the Lipizzaner stud farm. In addition to this are numerous castles, each with its own history. We know that you'll want to make this meeting a ``trip to remember". Start planning your 2003 european vacation around the Graz meeting today! Now is the time to add this event to your calendar!
Saint Mary's College/UCSF - June 2004
Saint Mary's College distinguishes itself as an excellent Catholic, Lasallian, Liberal Arts College. It has a long and intimate history with the Bay Area, growing up as the area grew. Founded in San Francisco in 1863, the College relocated to the legendary "Brickpile" in Oakland. In 1928 it moved to its current campus in foothills of picturesque Moraga, CA - just 20 miles east of San Francisco.
Saint Mary's has rich academic resources including a well-equipped library and other technologically advanced academic facilities. The Lasallian Christian Brothers continue to direct the College and exercise an indispensable role in its administration, instruction and fundraising. The Brothers are assisted in their mission by distinguished clerical and lay colleagues who fill many significant administrative and faculty appointments.
The College has educated thousands of undergraduates over the many decades of its history, and its graduate and professional programs have given training in business, law, education, and health to thousands of area professionals.

The Local Organizing Committee (Greg Smith, SMC and Pat Patterson, UCSF) have arranged for ``on campus" accommodation - apartment style - at very reasonable rates. There are hotels within a 10 to 15 minute drive of the campus. Parking on campus is free.
Located close to San Francisco, we hope that many members will use this meeting as the starting point for a west coast vacation with their families. The Accompanying Person's Program will have lots of venues to choose from. The Postgraduate Program, to be hosted at either Saint Mary's College or UCSF, will be foicused on robotic surgery and haptic technology.
